We’re hiring: Lettings Viewing & Inspection Agent in Manchester
A good property viewing starts before the door opens. It’s arriving prepared, making a home feel welcoming and helping someone picture whether it could be right for them. A good inspection takes a different kind of care: noticing the details, recording them accurately and making sure the office team knows what needs attention.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys both.
Property Genius is recruiting a Lettings Viewing & Inspection Agent to join our busy team in Chorlton. This is a permanent role with five days a week preferred and four days considered.
A varied role, out and about
You’ll spend much of your day visiting rental properties across South Manchester, with some appointments in Stockport, eastern Trafford and Manchester city centre.
For viewings, you’ll welcome prospective tenants, show them around, answer questions and listen to what they’re looking for. Afterwards, you’ll record useful, honest feedback and explain the next steps, with our property managers handling offers and application administration.
You’ll also carry out property inspections, inventories, check-ins and check-outs. That means taking photographs, recording the condition of rooms and furnishings, noting maintenance concerns and taking meter readings where needed. Your attention to detail will help our team look after homes and keep clear records for landlords and tenants.
Your day starts in Chorlton
Our office is at 424 Barlow Moor Road, Chorlton, Manchester, M21 8AD.
You’ll usually start by collecting keys, reviewing your diary and checking for any last-minute changes before heading to appointments. Between visits, you’ll help with viewing enquiries, bookings and keeping records up to date, returning keys to the office at the end of the day.
You’ll have your appointment details and property information with you through the Street Agent App. Inspection and inventory reports are completed at the property using Inventory Hive and shared with the office team. A company phone or iPad mini can be provided.
People skills and an eye for detail
You don’t need to have worked in property before. We’re happy to train the right person, including time shadowing an experienced colleague.
You’ll suit this role if you’re comfortable starting conversations, listening carefully and explaining things clearly. You should also enjoy working methodically and writing accurate, factual notes.
Customer service experience would be helpful, particularly where you’ve welcomed people, answered questions and adapted your approach to their needs.
You’ll need to be reliable, organised and comfortable working independently when out on appointments. You’ll have support from the business owner and our wider property management team.
A valid UK driving licence and your own car are essential. We reimburse business mileage at 55p per mile and cover necessary appointment parking.
Hours that we can agree together
Weekday hours are 9:30am–5:30pm, with a one-hour lunch break. We’d prefer someone working five days per week, but will consider four.
Saturday availability is welcome, but not essential. If Saturdays suit you, the hours are 10am–3pm, with Monday off instead—giving you Sunday and Monday off together.
The role includes a six-month probationary period and 28 days’ paid holiday, including bank holidays, for the standard five-day working pattern, adjusted proportionately for the agreed hours.
Interested in joining us?
If you enjoy meeting people, take pride in getting the details right and would like a practical role in lettings, we’d like to hear from you.
Apply through Indeed for our Lettings Viewing & Inspection Agent vacancy. Send your CV and a short note explaining why the role interests you, whether you’d prefer four or five days a week, and whether Saturday working would suit you.
