Macclesfield is a town located in Cheshire, close to the Peak District National Park. During the industrial revolution, the town was a major producer of silk, which created a great deal of wealth. Tameside, which is located just east of city centre Manchester, is home to the towns of Ashton under Lyne, Denton and Hyde.
